METRA is the first Italian company and one of the first companies in Europe to obtain the IRIS certification (International Railway Industry Standard). This European acknowledgment proves METRA's leadership in the field of extruded aluminium for railway transportation. The IRIS certification, issued by RINA, a certifying body recognized by UNIFE (Union of European Railway Industries), attests the conformity of METRA Quality System in the field of “Aluminium extrusion and further mechanical processing for railway transportation”.
The IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) voluntary evaluation/certification process is an European standard based on the ISO 9001 requirements for railway transportation suppliers (rolling stock and other components). Thanks to the IRIS certification, METRA will be recognized by every railway transportation company member of UNIFE.
