Metra lands in Dublin's port

The Grand Canal Square Theatre, designed by the Daniel Libeskind studio, together with the new waterfront urban square, constitute the new attraction pole of the Irish capital. The main theatre prospect corresponds to the one of the square, surrounded also by a 5 star hotel, private residences and an office building. The façade has been realized by METRA with 50 different kinds of extruded aluminium profiles, based on a project of Permasteelisa. Inspired to a theatre curtain, the façade is made of two superposed glass screens with an entrance in the middle that convey the feeling of passing through a curtain. On the other hand, the auditorium has been modelled on the neighbouring naval buildings.
