METRA becomes partner of GBC Italia

METRA has adopted LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, promoted by the non-profit organization GBC Italia. Bruno Bertoli, CEO of METRA, explains the reasons that led the company to this important choice: “From the technical point of view, METRA believes that LEED is a wide-ranging certification standard covering different types of constructions (schools, private residences, commercial buildings, restructuring projects etc.). In addition to this, LEED standards go beyond the traditional concept of energy certification by rewarding the performance of transparent coverings. These standards, of clearly international significance, are not rooted in a specific geographical context or linked to construction techniques well-established in a particular geographical area as, for instance, some other typically Italian models. For a company already established on the international market such as METRA, aligning the production with LEED standards means expanding further the horizons of quality products exportation. This also rewards the efforts put by the company in reducing environmental impact of production methods and products.
