Last September, METRA group took part in Aluminium, on the occasion of the International Trade Fair of Essen. The newly designed layout of METRA's stand emphasized the testimonial role of the company in the field of aluminium profiles and their applications in different sectors (transportation, mechanics, automation, pneumatics and furnishing). Over the last few years, METRA industry has been focusing on the transportation sector (railway, road, naval and air transportation), thanks to the installation of a new 6050 t press and to the revamping of the 3200 – 4000 t press. The railway transportation recorded a significant increase in the demand with new orders that reaffirm the prestige of METRA, since years among the three main players in the industry and supplier of the four main European groups (Ansaldo Breda, Alstom, Bombardier and Siemens). Essen's event also stressed the recovery of aluminium use for industrial applications, especially on the German market, that recorded data almost as positive as for the years 2007-2008.
