Among many other uses, aluminium is particularly suitable for the production of aquarium tanks. Ferplast's Star tank frame is made with the special EN AW-6060 anodized 15 micron aluminium alloy, in order to resist to wear and tear even in marine aquariums. Tanks feature aluminium ceiling light fixtures for T5 or T8 light bulbs that can be positioned in different slots under the lid, they are watertight (IP67) and they are equipped with reflective sheet. The tightness of the tanks, especially of the larger ones, is guaranteed by purpose-made highly resistant aluminium frames.
