Awarding ceremony of the 18th edition of the international contest “Sistema d'Autore”

The awarding ceremony of the 18th edition of the international contest “Sistema d'Autore” that took place on October 8th at the Iseolago Hotel of Iseo (Brescia) was a great success. The guests of the ceremony were welcomed by the CEO of METRA, Bruno Bertoli, who presented the evolution of the company over the last few years as strongly oriented towards structural investments and internal education. In 2009, the company invested 20 million Euros and the production totalled 45 000 tonnes. During the ceremony, Bruno Bertoli and Giulio Zanetti, executive director of METRA Ragusa and marketing director of METRA, rewarded 35 designers (as for instance Francesco Cicogna of Fuksas and Massimo Roy of Progetto 22), 22 fabricators and 26 customers. On the occasion of the 18th edition of the contest, 24 prizes were awarded to works from Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, USA and Algeria: 13 in the New Constructions category; 6 in the Restoration and Restructuring category and 5 in the Innovative Technologies category. This year, a non-competitive nomination went to an “all-METRA” creation: the new multifunctional hall of the Rodengo Saiano premises.
