Aluscuola is an organization that promotes professional training orienting young people towards the aluminium industry. Aluscuola aims at promoting social solidarity and offers services in the field of aluminium. Over more than 20 years of activity, Aluscuola trained about 4000 students and at the moment the organization works with 10 schools and 205 students. Thanks to the new short courses promoted by the regions, the number of students involved is bound to increase by the end of 2011. Among this year's events: “Environmental sustainability, advanced building envelopes, and job opportunities”, a seminar for high school mechanics and thermotechnics students that will be open to the public and will take place at the Ipsia institute of Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso) featuring talks by Aluscuola sponsors; National Contest “Miglior allievo serramentista”, organized by the national Cnos Fap, that will take place in Turin from May 10th to May 13th, 2011, during which the best students of each Aluscuola institute will have to build a piece that will be evaluated by a committee featuring Aluscuola representatives to select the best Italian student; Aluscuola website update in collaboration with the supporting schools; Summer training for teachers on energetic culture, laying, quoting, and construction site/plant inspections (June 27th/July 1st) that will take place at the Cnos Fap of Valdocco, Turin.
